Stress Engineer

Job Description

Detailed static and fatigue analysis of metallic and composite primary structures.

Position Responsibilities

• To conform to the company procedures, processes and standards.
• To meet the Technical Specification and airworthiness regulations specified within the scope of the project.

To provide Structural advice and analysis, based on:
• Project requirements,
• Certification requirements,
• Project timescales and budget.

To perform tasks as necessary to show that structures comply with the strength and structural requirements defined in the project Technical Specification:
• Advice to the design office on structural concepts, materials and fasteners,
• Generating and checking Finite Element Models and interpreting results,
• Generating Structural working files,
• Writing stress reports in correct technical English,

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

Knowledge and Experience
• Competent working knowledge of structural and stress analysis in an aerospace environment.
• Familiar with the static and fatigue analysis of metallic and composite structures.
• Able to support and guide others in the project team including other Stress Engineers.
• Proficient in the use of analysis software (PATRAN/NASTRAN, Hypermesh).
• Proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel.
• Basic knowledge of civil structural airworthiness requirements.

Structural Design Engineer

Job Description

ELSA Industry is seeking advanced level Structural Design Engineer candidates.
• Selected candidates will support project working on the advanced Design
• Candidates will perform preliminary & detailed 3D design and generates 2D drawings for single parts and assemblies.
• Primary and secondary Structures
• System Installation
• Interiors

Position Responsibilities
• Assists to support proposals and/or produce higher quality and more efficient detail designs.
• Conceptual structural design based on existing project inputs.
• Manufacturing 2D drawings for single parts or assemblies.
• Supports management of the engineering project by providing status and following the project plan.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher is required.
• Ability for conceptual work.
• Working experience with aerospace structural design.
• Working experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
• Working experience with Catia V5: PDG, GSD, SMD, GDR, ASD

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) and availability:
• Working experience in composite parts using Catia V5 CPD is an advantage.
• Working experience using Enovia-VPM
• Written and spoken good English skills
• Passion for advancing the commercial aviation industry.
• Highly self-motivated and able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Able to work well in an integrated collaborative team environment.

Avionics System/Electrical Engineer

Job Description Provide electrical engineering support for avionics and electrical system components and integration during aircraft modifications.

Position Responsibilities

  • Integration of avionics and electrical systems.
  • System-level design and detailed electrical design.
  • Research and identify solutions to meet design objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians.
  • Coordinate with customer engineers, ELSA’s engineers, and EASA.
  • Generate engineering documentation including engineering reports, wire harness diagrams, electrical wire routing, electrical schematic design, electrical loads analysis, test plans, and test reports.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist production and flight test personnel in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal support groups.
  • Create system schematics, requirements documents, system descriptions, interface documents, wiring diagrams, certification plans, issue papers, functional test requirements, test plans, test reports, and design compliance reports.
  • Review installation drawings and qualification test data.
  • Support change management through research, concepts, design reviews, trade studies, impact analysis, and implementation.
  • Demonstrate compliance with EASA aircraft requirements.

Qualifications

  • Citizenship: Must be a European Citizen.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Avionics Engineering or equivalent military/commercial education and experience.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in aviation electrical or avionics development and/or integration.
  • Knowledge: Aircraft electrical systems and integrated avionics systems.
  • Travel: Position may require business travel abroad.
  • Degree: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in electrical/avionics system design.
  • Minimum Experience: 10 years in electrical/avionics system design or related field.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of FAA, EASA, and TCCA rules is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Adaptability to new skills and tasks.
  • Proficiency with CAD software, FEA Solver (e.g., Nastran), CATIA, and Microsoft Office products.
